By actively working with the body in therapy, (in addition to talking), we can help our clients uncover emotions, beliefs and experiences that may be blocked and unavailable to their consciousness. This gives us more tools to assist them in accessing a deeper sense of calm, developing more ways to respond to people and situations and increase their capacity to fully experience life. This workshop will be experiential and didactic. It will include an overview of Bioenergetic theory, demonstration of some Bioenergetic exercises, and a few tools clinicians can begin to use with clients immediately. 4 CEUs for Social Workers and LMHCs.
