Core Energetics Practitioner and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist

Elaine Oswald received her training in body-centered psychotherapy at the Institute of Core Energetics. She is also a NY State licensed Creative Arts Therapist with 15 years experience working with individuals, families and groups. She is board certified by the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB) and received her graduate degree, Master’s in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute.

In her private practice, Elaine helps adults, children and adolescents find their inner strengths that may be difficult to recognize during times of stress, depression, anxiety or trauma. A unique focus of her practice is adults and children who have a sibling(s) with special needs. She is also committed to helping women find an embodied sense of empowerment.

Elaine integrates therapeutic modalities as fits each client’s unique needs. She also offers sand tray therapy.

In addition to her private practice, she leads art therapy groups for autistic children and adolescents at an NYC school. Her professional experience also includes 10 years working with children and families at an NYC child welfare agency for families in crisis. She has also worked with youths in foster care, and adults (inpatient) in substance abuse recovery.
