Biography

Were you abused, neglected and traumatized? Were you raised by a tiger mom? Did you raise yourself and everyone else? Do you feel frozen, numb and disconnected from your body? Do you feel like there’s something wrong with you? Do you have a need to be perfect? Do you feel anxious even during down time? Are you always running and doing and still feel it’s not enough? Is food your only friend? Yet, on the outside, you look like the most put together person. If only people knew what was on the inside.

Trauma is a disruption to the nervous system. For those who have suffered abuse or trauma, there is a way to reclaim wholeness. Somatic Experiencing (SE) is a way to gently get your nervous system back to equilibrium. Equilibrium brings back flexibility to handle the ups and downs of life.

We are complex beings. We think. We feel. We behave according to our cultures. We know some things and others things are beneath our awareness. My job is to help you see what’s already working and add skills to shore up areas needing development for a full life.
