unnamedTheanna Pateropoulos, MA, MFTI, LMT, is a PhD student in Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University in San Francisco, where her research topic is the feasibility of Somatic Psychotherapy as a modality recognized by the APA as an Evidence-Based Practice in its own right.  Theanna earned her master’s degree under the mentorship of Don Hanlon Johnson in Somatic Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she is now an adjunct professor.  She completed training in the Sensorimotor approach to trauma treatment, and has studied Stanley Keleman’s Formative PsychologyTM.  Other body-centered modalities she applies in her clinical practice are Gestalt, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Hakomi, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, and Authentic Movement.  Theanna is a Kripalu-certified massage therapist.
