About This Workshop

Have you wanted to work more somatically but haven’t had the tools? Have you been aware of your client’s physical presence—the way they sit, a repetitive gesture, the tightening of their shoulders—but haven’t known how to include it in the therapeutic process?

In this hands-on training, you will:

  • Find creative ways to work with the body that are gentle and effective
  • Learn to work experientially using gesture, posture, impulse, sensation, and touch
  • Begin to translate the language of the body into words, images and memories

The workshop is open and relevant to both clinicians and the general public and serves as prerequisite hours for Hakomi Comprehensive Training.
